Vishwanth made a mark in Kollywood with his small yet significant role in Rajinikanth’s Kabali. But the actor is excited as he will next be seen in Vikram-starrer Sketch and
Vishal’s Sandakozhi 2. Talking about his role in Sketch, he says, “My role will like that of Kalaiyarasan’s in Madras. I play
Vikram’s friend and will help him in all his endeavours.”
In Sandakozhi 2, Vishwanth plays the role of
Varalaxmi Sarathkumar’s husband.
“It is a different role and I play a typical Madurai guy. He’s bold and can go to any extent for his family. He beats up people and gets into fights for his family,” shares Vishwanth.
The makers have erected a huge set at Binny Mills for the film. “I have never seen a set like that before. They have recreated Madurai there. Right from the village thiruvizha, markets, lanes, temples, therru (temple chariot), water tank, mandapam — there is an entire village out there! Also, there were so many artistes on the set. So, it was nice meeting them and being part of the shoot,” says the actor, who is also working in an untitled psychological thriller.
